The first house my husband and I have ever bought is our present-day property, a townhouse. We decided to ease into home possession via purchasing a townhouse, because it affords us a break from the need to maintain a garden that is normally essential when possessing a place. Our home is a bit diminutive, but it’s just the right size for us.

My partner and I have installed our property with items that are remarkable and profound to us, and the property is ideal for how we live our lives now. The more diminutive the home, the less area there is to keep clean and maintain, and this is useful as we find out the ins and outs of being house owners.

There are also one or two places in the home that need replacing - the floor in the master bedroom for example. Also, there’s a joist in the loft that call for refurbishing.

Nonetheless, the home is OK for both of us nowadays, and at a later date, it gives us the chance to do some DIY to the house to make it even more our style. We delight in the concept of being home owners, and we enjoy our house.
