The SME segment can rejoice as it now has further options to choose from, as far as the fixed line broadband service is concerned. Nildram has heated up the competition in the market with the launch of two new packages.
Nildram’s packages, being promoted as ‘Enhanced Upstream’ and ‘SDSL (M)’ will compete with other services in the segment especially BT’s SDSL and leased line service.
The Enhanced Upstream package, targeted towards businesses such as the media companies, offers a steady 16 Mb downstream and 2.5 Mb upstream speeds. The package will be highly reliable and will perfectly suit the needs of companies it is targeting. The package is priced at £19.50 per month exclusive of VAT. The customers will also have to pay an £80 installation fee.
The SDSL (M) package offers uniform upload and download speeds ranging from 512Kb to 2Mb. As a guarantee of service, the company has offered to refund one month’s broadband rental for any service complaint, which is not fixed within 10 hours. This is bound to sweeten the deal for the customers, as a disruption in service can mean loss in income for the business. The package is priced at £59 per month exclusive of VAT.
Both new packages come with a compulsory 12-month contract. Nildram is applying this contract term to all of its business broadband products.
